Oh She Glows
Hi, I’m Angela. Welcome to Oh She Glows – an award-winning recipe blog featuring over 500 healthy recipes (and growing)! For the past 6 years, I’ve shared energizing, plant-based recipes that my family and I enjoy on a daily basis. My goal is to inspire you to embrace more plant-based foods in your diet without feeling the least bit deprived. And yes, my recipes are great for meat-eaters and picky kids too! Most of my recipes are gluten-free and many are allergy-friendly (just check the recipe for the allergy info). My first cookbook, The Oh She Glows Cookbook (released March 4, 2014) is a New York Times Bestseller. It was also selected as Chapters/Indigo’s BOOK OF THE YEAR for 2014. It features over 100 plant-based recipes (including 85 gluten-free recipes) using real, whole food ingredients. The book also contains over 100 full-page, full-colour photographs shot by yours truly!
Honey & Jam
Hey there, I’m Hannah Queen, baker and photographer. I live in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia, and I love Jesus. I like simple things, fresh ingredients and flowers, tea with honey, good music (mostly folk and bluegrass, big band and classical), trips to the farmers market and early mornings. I’m the happiest when I’m in the kitchen, creating something tasty, and when I’m behind my camera, taking pictures of everything I see.
Spoon Fork Bacon
Jenny: I’m originally from Chicago , IL. (yay midwest!) I always prefer salty to sweet. I have a jack russell-dashchund mix named DEXTER who lives in a canvas teepee lined with a lambskin rug! I love Michael Jackson and have driven to Neverland Ranch multiple times when I lived in Santa Barbara during my college years. I have a hard time sitting still and relaxing. I LOVE to go bike riding. Beach over mountains (usually). I will drive hours for a great meal. I’m a caffeine junkie. I was a vegetarian for 3 years. […] Teri: I would rather be invisible than be able to fly. I love pizza, and I think hot dogs are amazing. Traveling is the best, but I always wonder when they will figure out how to make flights 1 hour tops. CJ Craig is probably my favorite TV character. I am originally from Boise, Idaho and yes, I love potatoes. I studied graphic design for three years. I graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with a degree in commercial photography. I have a thing for whales and dolphins.
Cookie & Kate
Welcome! I’m happy you’re here. You can call me Kate, which is one of many nicknames, or Kathryne, which is my full first name. Either way, I’m a self-taught photographer and cook from Oklahoma. I started this blog in 2010 and named it after my sidekick, Cookie. Now, we live in Kansas City and work on this blog full-time. I love my job! You should know that I’m totally obsessed with food. I daydream about new recipes. I devour cookbooks (I even wrote my own). I read up on food policy and nutrition. I love photographing food and hope my photos inspire you to step into the kitchen to cook a delicious, healthy meal. Above all, I love eating food, especially while in the presence of good company. Good food in good company—does it get any better than that?
Welcome to Bakerella.com. I started this website to help keep track of my baking and decorating attempts. I got the bug after taking an introductory cake decorating class and just haven’t stopped. The site focuses on fun and easy baking. It’s a place to explore recipes, desserts, decorating and even photography with a few giveaways sprinkled in along the way. You’ll find ideas for cupcake pops (a Bakerella creation), cakes, pies, cupcakes, cookies, brownies and more. You may even find yourself smiling from all the sweetness.
A Cozy Kitchen
Hi! I’m Adrianna. This is my blog where I share my favorite recipes and random tangents about life with you all. Thanks for being here. This blog is fueled by copious amounts of rap music, sugar, butter and flour. I first started this blog when I was working a job that left to be desired in the creativity department. After a few years of plugging away, I was able to leave and now I do it full-time. YAY! The recipes I love to make are ALWAYS comforting and cozy and often times are inspired by my Latin-American background. My mom is Peruvian and my dad is Colombian. You’ll find some traditional classics from both countries as well as a bunch of mash-ups that hopefully aren’t offensive (I was raised in the US, after all). Another thing you’ll find a lot of: pastries, cakes, breakfast stuff and lots and lots of pie.
Trials & Tribulations Of A Brummie Mummy
We’ll hand-pick a short quote from your blog–a snapshot of what you and your blog are all about. Are you particularly proud of a few lines you’ve written? Let us know and we’ll put it right in. Whether the quote is light-hearted or serious, what’s most important is that it is an authentic snapshot of your blog.
What’s Gaby Cooking
Hey everyone, welcome to What’s Gaby Cooking! WGC is a celebration of what it’s like to live the California Girl Life. That means it’s always sunny, green goddess salads for lunch are a great idea, slutty brownies for dinner are equally as acceptable and I’ll never say no to a burrito with extra guacamole – it’s all about balance! I fully support packing your bags and heading out of town for a new adventure, be it a food inspired road trip or a South America expedition. Yoga pants are considered the best uniform, but throwing on a red lip and heels is also fun. Here on What’s Gaby Cooking, we’re living every day like a true California Girl, flip flops are welcome year round and we can promise you that you’ll always be well fed!
Hi, I’m Andie Mitchell. I’m a 32-year-old writer, healthy recipe developer, New York Times bestselling author, a sometimes public speaker, and I’m proud to say, the only living person who openly admits that Titanic is still her favorite movie. What you should know: I believe in balancing health and happiness. Twelve years ago, I weighed nearly 300 pounds. After 20 years of being big, knowing I needed to change—and trying to, but failing—hitting 268 on the scale was my turning point. I started eating better, learning about nutrition for the first time in my life. I started exercising regularly. In short, I overhauled my life. A little over a year after I began, I lost 135 pounds. It was the hardest and most rewarding experience, and although I didn’t realize it at the time, I was only at the beginning. This story—the 20 year lead-up, the weight loss, and the lessons learned long after—is all in my memoir, It Was Me All Along. […] I started this blog in 2010 to share that balance, because I know that before you achieve balance for yourself, it can appear to be some dreamy mansion you only wish you could afford.
The Smitten Kitchen in its current physical incarnation is not the worst kitchen we have ever had, a kind of half-galley with a wobbly, peeling cart used as a cooking surface. What it lacks in cabinets, a dishwasher that doesn’t leak and refrigerator that doesn’t freeze everything in the back, it makes up for in streams of light from the door on the side that goes to [drumroll] a terrace, where I attempt — with varying degrees of success — to grow tomatoes, herbs and whatever other mystery seeds my son finds at the playground and sticks in the soil. What you’ll see here is a lot of comfort foods stepped up a bit, things like bread and birthday cakes made entirely from scratch and tutorials on everything from how to poach an egg to how to make tart doughs that don’t shrink up on you, but also a favorite side dish (zucchini and almonds) that takes less than five minutes to make.
Girl Loves Food
Girl Loves Food is a blog for the food lover at heart. This site explores my passion and zest for food and chronicles recipes I create in my home, restaurant reviews (mainly on the East Coast), other food-worthy news, and a tad of lifestyle odds and ends. Now that I am a mom, there will most likely be a speckling of food geared towards families and little ones. Marisa Olsen is a food lover at heart. Throughout her life, she has lived in Manhattan (twice); Summit, NJ; Boston, MA; Jersey City; and Boston (again), where she resides with her husband Will and baby girl Marin.
